Heifer Day 3

Day Three

Hi. Today we started off by eating breakfast and headed over to the LOW challenge with our fellow Ohio-ians and our guide Zack and Olivia in ze tractor hayride. We arrived at the course and were immediately flabbergasted. These games were to be lead by a GERMAN MAN (deutscher) !!! He had an awesome accent. We played games that were community building and had underlying themes of the twelve corner stones including name games, jumping past anacondas, puzzle making, crossing rivers and stealing food for your lyF3. Then we went on a hot hike to lunch and then split into the groups we would be in for our classes. Anna, Jordan and Megan were in a class called “Just Dough It” where they made a pizza completely from scratch. Gabe and Bennett went to a service project called “Animal Husbandry”  were they took care of the animals. Gabe however refused to stick his finger up the goats rear end while Bennett sat around petting the horses. Alex and Kristian (wiiT @ K) went to a class called “Care  4 the Earth” and did literally just that. Erin and Mike made repairs around the ranch all day. We then reconnected and went to dinner. When we got back to the lodge we watched a eye popping movie called “Food Inc. “ about where all our food came from. We were all sickened by the horrifying truth of this video. We unenthusiastically did a devotion and had some bars. We were only unenthusiastic because of the mood the movie left us in and that we were very tired at dis point. COOL FACT FROM MIKE: There are over 600 verses in the bible about God and social justice. On Daaaay Four, we woke up and stuffed ourselves on sweet bread and got ready for a big day of social justice and starvation in the global village we are still best friends with dem people from Ohio. They made us write this. Gotcha!
