Walk on Weds. July 21

This fall we are going to have a campaign called “JustStart>” We didn’t make this up, some much smarter people did and we feel it really fits who Jacob’s Well wants to be. We know there is always more to know and have all set up, but we really do just have to start. It’s about being the church, not having one.

WHEN: Wednesday, July 21 – meet at 7:00 pm sharp. Done by 9.

WHERE: Anne Sullivan School - 3100 E. 28th Street

WEAR: walking shoes and dress for the weather.

This Wednesday, July 21, a bunch of us will gather in one of our neighborhoods – the one around Anne Sullivan school.  We’ll take a few minutes to hear the vision of what we think God hopes to have happen beginning in the fall, and then we’ll just start. And that doesn’t mean a meeting (this really isn’t a meeting), it means walking. In 3’s and 4’s, we’ll walk, observe, listen, and think about who our neighbors are. Not in theory, but the ones whose homes, businesses, schools and parks we walk by. Then we’ll re-group to hear and explore the questions, thoughts, concerns, and what-ifs bubbling up from among us. And the journey will have begun!

What do we expect? To start this journey by…starting!  Not by creating programs, giving assignments or having meetings. But by putting ourselves in a position to begin seeing, feeling and responding in new ways.

Hope you can be with us for this important turning point.
