Walk on Weds. July 21

This fall we are going to have a campaign called “JustStart>” We didn’t make this up, some much smarter people did and we feel it really fits who Jacob’s Well wants to be. We know there is always more to know and have all set up, but we really do just have to start. It’s about being the church, not having one.

WHEN: Wednesday, July 21 – meet at 7:00 pm sharp. Done by 9.

WHERE: Anne Sullivan School - 3100 E. 28th Street

WEAR: walking shoes and dress for the weather.

Meet at the Greenway this Weds June 30!

Hey Jacob's Well. I know we have a lot of Midtown Greenway Fans out there.  Read on about a great way to get our hands dirty together and support and enjoy the Greenway! Hope to see you there!

Here are the details...

Like cupcakes?

I met Jim, the owner of Welna II Hardware on Franklin Ave in Seward neighborhood today. I was dropping off our newest postcard about Jacobs Well Longfellow and we got talking about the great business and neighborhood community they have going.  That's when he told me about the cupcakes!

Come eat some reportedly "divine" Cake Eater cupcakes (and pick up supplies or advice for that weekend project at the house!).  Suggested 1$ donation supports the Seward Neighborhood Group.

ASL interpreters in February and March

We are excited to welcome students of ASL/English interpretation from North Central University to come be Jacob's Well with us and interpret for our 10:30 AM gatherings at Field School on Sundays February 21 & 28 and March 21 & 28.

Thank you!

May our beginnings spill over - thinking of Haiti

A prayer...As we are excited to see a new community taking shape in Longfellow - I can't help but consider the stark contrast with the unthinkable horrors people are experiencing at this very moment in Haiti.  May our coming together here ripple, inspiring and equipping all of us to be generous and open with our lives in ways that reduce suffering near and far. Amen
