For a long time now, I've been trying to figure out what I'm going to be when I grow up, until it occurred to me the other day that maybe I'm already being it.
From my first babysitting jobs at age 12, to six years a Bible camp counselor, some time as a program director for the Boys and Girls Club, chair of the board for Red Lodge Public Schools, vacation Bible school director, assistant teacher in a day care, and now as a mom, kids (and taking good care of them) have always been a big part of my life.

I grew up in South Minneapolis, went to Southwest highschool - (not telling when I graduated)! I traveled west to South Dakota and graduated from Augustana College with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. After College, I came back to the Twin Cities and worked for a number of years for Homeward Bound, a home for multiply handicapped children and then as a Regional Director for ClubKid. Before beginning Jacob's Well, I was the Director of Early Childhood Ministry at Bethlehem Lutheran developing minstry for kids 2 - Kindergarten and their families.

Hi there. I hope to meet you soon, maybe on a Sunday morning at worship, maybe at one of the Twelve Events, maybe walking my dachshund around Lake Nokomis, maybe in the halls of Hale or Field Schools where my three kids attend, maybe at a coffee shop or restaurant in the Hale Page Diamond Lake neighborhood where I live, or maybe at one of the many community park centers where I spend a fair amount of time watching my kids in their various sporting events. If you have another fun place where we could meet, shoot me an email!

Greetings! I'm Greg Meyer. The one God started working on first to try to start a new kind of church. One that people wouldn't have, but that people were. Since then the vision has become the vision of hundreds of others.

Hello!
I get to work part-time with Jacob's Well to support Community Engagement. Meaningful engagement points at Jacob's Well look as different as all of our stories - from kicking the tires to making yourself known, to joining a crew to help out or trying out GroupLife - engaging means taking a risk and waking up to something new by putting yourself out there. That's why we do it together!

I grew up in San Diego, California, moved to Cambridge, MN when I was 11, graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in '03 (majored in religion) and worked as a youth minister before I came to Jacob's Well in 2006. I'm sort of a "spiritual mutt"; there's nothing "normal" about me. Music and musicians are some of my passions, besides watching a good movie, kung fu, stretching and spending time with my wife, Audrey.

I was born and raised in the Twin Cities. After graduating from Roseville High School in 1991, I attended the U of M, and received a Family Social Science degree. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Tim, who sometimes plays in the band. We have two young boys, Evan and Elliot, and two cats, Stanley and Oliver.
While I didn’t grow up in church, I’ve always felt intrigued by the faith held by the people around me. I found it difficult to find a church in which questions were allowed, and encouraged. A church that would unify, not divide.

I’ll try anything. Roller coasters, scuba diving, telemark skiing. Maybe that’s why I’ve found a place at Jacob’s Well. It’s a community that’s feeds my adventurous spirit. It’s a collection of voices that encourages me to ask deeper questions. It’s an experiment with results unknown. It’s one spot where I get to stop and listen for God.
