Now, they have come out of retirement for an even bigger assignment!  The Incredibles must use their super-powers to uncover the keys to creating an incredible community!  These super heroes need your help! So, tap into your own super-powers and join us each week as we discover…The power of community!

September 9—The Power of Belonging.

September 16— The Power of Grit.

September 23— The Power of Team.

September 30— The Power of Caring.

This week we will be helping kids Dash into the Power of Caring and how Caring for others is woven together with loving God, it opens us up for all the ways that God is loving in our world. The more we love and care for others, the more we are able to see and experience how big love can be! We will be exploring the story of The Man Who Helped and wrestling with the idea of caring when it isn’t always easy.

• Practicing caring for others at the hospital dramatic play corner
• Sharing a story about leaving our ‘heartprints’ everywhere we go!
• Kids going on a heart treasure hunt
• Working with our friends to name spot kind and unkind actions

• A gigantic Warm Fuzzie Factory!
• Going on a secret mission to learn more about our H2O friends
• Wrestling with what it feels like to be excluded
• Acting out a story Jesus shared about a man who stopped to care
• Getting a tangible reminder that we are all INCREDIBLE!

If you were to take a peek into River RATS this week you might see…

• Visiting the Super Hero Photo Booth and creating cards to encourage our friends!
• Creating together a recipe for Friendship Soup
• Discovering a story from the bible about caring and being kind – even when it isn’t easy!
• Wrestling with what stepping out of our comfort zone to be kind to others can look like at home, school, and in our activities.
• Praying together for ALL of our neighbors.

The Guardians of the Community: Rocket, Gamora, Groot, and Peter Quill are here with us Middle Spoolers in September and they need our help. Ronan the accuser is threatening to destroy the Fabric of the universe and the only way to stop him is with community. Each Sunday we will be searching and unlocking the keys to community!

September 9—The Belonging Key.

September 16— The Complexity Key.

September 23— The Caring Key.

September 30— The Team Key.

This week we will be working together and taking note of the stories we come with. Each of us have something that makes us special and unique. It is these gifts that make being a community so powerful. God truly values us for who we are, messiness and all.
