Just Start>
This fall we’re having a campaign called “Just Start>.” We didn’t make it up – some people much smarter than us did. But we think it very much fits who Jacob’s Well wants to be. We will explore the story of the Good Samaritan on Sundays and in GroupLife - with adults, kids and as families. We will invite others along wth us.
But how will we really let it change us?
Why not just start, now? Some of us did. It could have been something else; it could have been any neighborhood. But about a dozen of us started by walking around the neighborhood of Sullivan school one Wednesday in August. In 3’s and 4’s, we walked, observed, listened, and thought about who our neighbors are. Not in theory, but the ones whose homes, businesses, schools and parks we walked by. We thought about what makes someone a neighbor rather than a stranger. And we started.
We started to see and feel and respond differently. We each started to have more questions. You can see some of them here.
What if more of us took a walk like this this week? That could really change things…
