Let’s Talk – Sexuality & Healthy Relationship Workshops

Important Conversations about Sexuality for Families. Parents are the most influential sex educators for their children! Join Family Tree Clinic Sex Educator Lindsey Hoskins for a discussion on sexual development for young children and how to communicate with your children about sexuality in a way that is healthy, developmentally appropriate, and reinforces your values. From toddlerhood to the teenage years, there are millions of opportunities to get conversations going in a way that will lead to healthy attitudes and outcomes. Even if the thought of “the talk” makes your palms sweat a little, we will share tips for talking in a way that is easy, fun, and effective. It is never too early to start!

When: Saturday 9/29, 9am-noon

Where: Bethel Lutheran Church 4120 S 17th Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407

Who: Parents of toddler through elementary-age children

How much: $15 suggested registration per parent/couple or pay what you can

Onsite childcare will be available for those who need it ($10 per child/$15 max per family)

Linda Madson, Sexuality Educator and Parent Educator from Annex Teen Clinic, will be leading three upcoming workshops around sexuality and healthy relationships. Each workshop will have a different focus, with parents and teens (grades 6-12) working together and in break-out sessions with Annex Teen Clinic staff.  All workshops will begin at 6:30pm and end at 8:00pm and will be held at the Fabric office (3751 17th Avenue South)…

September 26: Consent, sexual harassment and bullying. 

October 24: Healthy relationships and intimacy.

December 5: Technology and its effect on our youth.
